JPlay uses DoP, but you don't need to know that. Early versions often had flagging issues (the flag is used to tell the DAC if DSD is onboard or if its really PCM) but all that is fixed with version 1.1 and beyond.

This method is easy to implement, and therefore most, if not all, DSD-capable DACs have it as their primary vehicle for passing native DSD files to their DAC. * DSD over PCM (aka DoP), which is a cleaver encryption method of carrying the full native (i.e not converted to PCM) DSD files stacked on a 24/176K or greater PCM signal path.

* ASIO via Windows requires specific Windows ASIO driver with DSD support (Jplay is not involved here) DFF), whatever source it came from originally (i.e was recorded in analog then transferred to DSD recorded in DSD via Sonoma, etc recorded in PCM then tranferred to DSD) can be played back on DSD-capable DACs (which number close to 100 by now.I need to update the DSD database since CES with about 10 more) in two ways: Armsan, you seem confused by the terms DoP and native.
